Do the Tears Help?

Ever feel like you are crying more than you are praising? Your heart is so heavy with trouble that you can't help but to let the tears flow?

It happens. It happened to Hannah when she wanted a child so badly but was still not pregnant. It happened to David when his son, Absolam, overthrew his kingdom and he had to leave and seek refuge for fear of losing his life. It also happened when Jesus heard the news of His dear friend Lazarus dying. He wept.

So why is it that you feel weak and pathetic when you're so overwhelmed that you can't help but cry? Don't pay attention to your troubles but still go and worship the Lord. Pray to Him and inquire of His solution because even though He sees your tears they won't help solve your problem. Only your commitment to Him will. Hannah went to worship Him and God blessed her with a son, Samuel.

Every time you feel those tears starting to flow, open your mouth and offer the sweet fragrance of praise to Him. He will help you.

Blessings

It's that simple

A wounded spirit's email to a friend:

I don't know what is going on but my faith is being beyond tested. i just want to give up on Christian life (praying, church etc.). It's been like this for a while and its not getting better. i'm having job problems, car problems, family problems, money problems.....its just keeps raining. this isnt right and i dont know what to do.

The friend's reply:

Keep the faith and kick the fear.
-Kingsley Dadzie, 2007

It's just that easy. Remove the doubt from your mind that you are alone. God sees what is happening in your life.
They say when it rains it pours. But remember when the sun shines it burns. There is never a perfect season in your life unless you have faith. Have faith that God is with you and has lead you to the point. Keep only your faith in God with you and get rid of the fear of everything else.

Be Honest to the Lord

How do you expect the Lord to answer your desires if you are not truthful with Him? Maybe you don't want you family to know that you lost your job. Maybe you don't want your best friend to know that you feel like you can't afford to pay your tithes. Maybe you feel like there is no one that you can be totally honest with but you are forgetting about the Almighty.

The one that never fails and never stops loving us. Tell Him the way you feel. Ask Him to show you why you are going through your trial. God is here for us always and the only way that we can get comfort from him is by being honest with Him and telling Him everything.

Trust that He has a plan for you. Go to your threshing floor and open your mouth to Him. He's waiting and listening. Be like David, a man after God's heart, and talk to Him openly.

Blessings,

Psalms 143

4 So my spirit grows faint within me;

my heart within me is dismayed.
5 I remember the days of long ago;

I meditate on all your works

and consider what your hands have done.
6 I spread out my hands to you;

my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.

Selah
7 Answer me quickly, O LORD;

my spirit fails.

Do not hide your face from me

or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,

for I have put my trust in you.

Show me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.

What does it mean to be assertive?

When we pray, If we believe, God will do it (Matt 21:22). It's a powerful statement if we think about it. We as Christians have the ability to be receive everything we ask for in prayer. So then why don't we. Why is it that our prayers, in our minds, come back void?

There are a few reason such as we haven't asked for forgiveness for our sins and we are asking amiss but what about this reason; we're not assertive enough.

That's a new one. Assertive? It means to be firm, forward and confident. Are you firm in the word? Are you moving forward as if God will answer your prayer? Are you confident that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose? These are things to ponder when you don't see you answer.

But while waiting just remember, God's time is the best time.

Be Blessed Saints

Love is Love

How can you describe love? With love. Love is all around us and love is what we should be striving to share in every way, everyday. Just a thought.

Read 1 Cor 13 to be reminded of how love is.

He knows what I'm going through

When you feeling like you're alone and God isn't with you listen to Smokie Norful's I Understand to get insight on what God is saying to you.

He is with us ALWAYS and LOVE US more than we can know. I've been down and upset that my life as a child of God isn't better. It's a biblical fact that we will go through fire (ie. Job) but that will never mean that God isn't there. It means that he is preparing us for Himself (from I Understand).

It's a beautiful thing when you are down and God sends you a pick me up. Image, maybe if you always had good times you wouldn't see God's little blessings.

Just remember when you are down that He knows why. Don't try to get out of it prematurely (James 1:2-4). Realize that it's 'not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit,' (Zech 4:6)

Stay Blessed!

Tough Times call for Tough Scriptures

1 Peter 5:6-9

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

In the midst of a storm I need to hold on because Christ is with me. Amen

God Give Me Strength

There is a reggae song by Luciano that goes "God give me strength, to face another day..." and that's how I feel at the moment.

All the things I have to do are seeming like too much. Too much. And the thing is I have to do it. I have to get on it or else. For instance I have to look for job, something that has never taking me longer than 6 weeks is now going on six months. I'm trying to break into a new career, writing, so I have to put together my portfolio, plus continue to write things to submit. Every time I complete a task there's something else I have to do. God help me.

I feel like the only way to complete what I have to do is to not sleep. Everything seems impossible but then I remember "what is impossible with man is possible with God." (Mark 10:27 TM).

He can help me get through this. I just have to ask Him and all is well!

Inspiration

To God be the Glory forever and ever!

It is my hope that through His word we will begin to live life as champions, fruitful in everything we do.

Scripture to meditate on:

Romans 12:12
rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

Remember: As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he (prov. 23:7). Begin to think like a winner and you will be a winner in everything that you do!

Stay Blessed
